source IESB.netwww.iesb.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=331&Itemid=99Written by Robert Sanchez Friday, 08 September 2006 Will Bob Hoskins will be playing the Penguin in the upcoming film the The Dark Knight? A few months back the rumor mill started buzzing that Bob Hoskins had been approached to play the iconic character of the Penguin in the highly anticipated sequel to Batman Begins. Then we heard the Phillip Seymour Hoffman had also been approached but that he had turned down the role. According to Chris Nolan, there was no truth to the Hoffman rumor, but what about Hoskins? The IESB had the opportunity to ask one very brief question to Bob Hoskins during the premiere of Hollywoodland so we decided that this was a rumor we needed to find out about. Has Bob Hoskins been approached to play the Penguin or not? In a nutshell, no he has not, would he like to? Yes he would. Actually, it appears as if the question caught him by surprise but he did say that he would love to.

people are saying that there are to many villains in the new dark knight film i think that the joker and harvey are going to be in and thats all and i dont think that harvey will turn into two face untill the next movie or the joker will turn him into him just before the end of the film.

I think they really need to develop the friendship between Bruce and Harvey. I know this branch of the franchise is rewriting it's own continuity, but part of the Batman/Two Face story is that they were close friends.
He shouldn't be Two Face 'til the next movie.

They don't need to half more than one bad guy, Begins was allright with Ra's and Scarecrow, since they were working together and Crane didn't become The Scarecrow until almost the end, and then the horse took off. Which is at least good in that another villian didn't get asked at the end.
